Sunken Mountain's name comes from the geographical sinking of the part of the mountain that bears it's name. That happened many years ago but the effect of it is seen in the area that has slid down the face of the small mountain. It is 97 acres of meadow, sage and juniper. The meadows were planted years ago and still retain those grass species. The acreage is buildable. I have found no running water on it but there used to be a homestead there. I am surmising that they had found water there as no homesteads were created without it. Be that as it may I have not found any. There are ponds on it but they will dry up in the late summer if the weather is very warm. There is good grass on it for livestock grazing.
