Ramsey Acres

Located in far northwestern Pittsylvania County, near Franklin County, Ramsey Acres makes for a dream homestead or timber investment property. Both Pittsylvania and Franklin County residents know this area for its soil, which often contributes to optimal tree growth and timber harvestability conditions.

Legend has it that three Ramsey brothers came riding into Pittsylvania County in the 1700s with gold in their saddlebags searching for land. One brother, Thomas, settled near Rock Creek and built a rock home using what he could source from the terrain. He went on to serve as a Patriot in the Revolutionary War and this property has been kept in the family ever since he made it home safe. Although the original rock home has been lost to time, one can't help but wonder if this was where it once stood.
