Established Allen Parish Rice/Crawfish farm located six miles east of Oberlin on Hwy 26. This well-maintained farm has three active irrigation wells with power-units on municipal natural gas lines. These well are connected to an underground piping system that allows water to move across the farm to supply the rice and crawfish areas. The farm has frontage on Highway 26, with additional frontage on two parish ads. Electrical power is available along the roads. The farm is currently leased for current year rice and the upcoming crawfish season. FSA data indicates 495, acres of rice base and 124 acres of soybean base. The farm is also located in an area that hold wintering ducks and geese populations. There is also a grass-strip that has been used by ag pilots.
