The lodge was built in 2015 and set-up to sleep up to 17 people! The lodge has spray foam insulation with in-floor heat. It is set up with high-speed internet and a state of the art security system. The attached shop with huge overhead doors is large enough to store all your needs including boats, pontoon, tractor etc. The lodge is 1 mile tucked back in the woods on the southeast end of the lake. It feels like you are at a remote 5-star fly-in resort in the middle of the Canadian wilderness when you are there. It is so private and surreal.
The hunting is nothing short of spectacular. I will start with the grouse and turkey. There are 6 miles of groomed trails on the land to walk for grouse and the habitat is ideal for them. The turkeys are like rats as evident by the trail cams. They see little to no hunting pressure so they are fun to hunt with the family and kids. Bear hunting is hard to draw a tag but when you do you will have world-class bear hunting. Big bear and good numbers will make for a fun hunt!! The landowner has several on camera each year.
The deer hunting has improved over the years with sound quality deer management on the landowner’s part. There has always been a good age class structure on the property but as you can see since managing the herd starting in 2013, the deer numbers have grown and so has the age class. The owner is very particular with what he shoots and will not take a deer unless it is mature. As the trail cams will show there are some stud bucks every year and heading in 2018 it will be no different!
