Friends, I wish you could have all been with me last Thanksgiving morning. I pulled onto this magnificent place for the first time, with permission to shoot a big buck of either flavor. I spent the first half hour swinging my binoculars back and forth looking at one big buck after another. I did pull out my Ultra but didn't get a shot at this huge 170 whitey that was just following a doe but got into some thick stuff along the river. Geese darkened the sky the whole two hours I was there and loads of pheasants & sharpies everywhere. It was INSANE!
