Research Parcel InformationThis farm, consisting of approximately 229 acres, is located in Washington Magisterial District of Calhoun County, West Virginia approximately 3 miles southwest of Minnora on the waters of Blowntimber Run a minor tributary of the Beech Fork of Henry Fork Creek which is a major tributary of the West Fork of the Little Kanawha River. The property occupies a majority of the headwaters of Blowntimber Run. The property has a half mile long private right of way and is accessed from Blowntimber Run (County Route 20/7).
From I-79 Big Otter Exit drive north on WV 16 about 12 miles to Minnora, WV. One mile north of Minnora, take a left on Milo Road (Calhoun County Route 13). Follow CR 13 about three miles to a Y intersection with Calhoun County Route 20 (Beech Road) shaded by a very large sycamore tree. Take a left at the intersection and follow Beech Road about one mile up the valley to a sharp left-hand turn in Beech Road and a sign for Blowntimber Road (Calhoun County Route 20/7) on the right. Follow CR 20/7 about two miles to the end of the County Road. In front of a home site at the bottom of valley, cross the large culvert and park in the meadow. The road is gated 1/2 mile into the woods and there is no place to turn around once you enter the woods. It is suggested that interested parties either park in the meadow or contact the broker for vehicular access information before visiting the property.
