Historical Value of this ranch: Mukewater Creek was named after the Comanche Chief Mukwooru (meaning Spirit Talker) who was chosen to represent the Penateka and Comanche in 1840. This 301.20 acre tract is located north of the community of Trickham which was so named after a general store proprietor (Mr, Cheatham) who played tricks on the cowboys and the US Army Soldiers who traded at his store. Trickham is also located on the Chisholm Trail where John Chisholm gathered cattle in this area as well.
