Kingwood Forestry Services, Inc. has been authorized to manage the sale of +/-120 acres, more or less, in Columbia County, Arkansas located northeast of Magnolia. The property is being sold on a basis of lump sum sealed bids on Friday, May 25, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. The timber on the property consists of +/-81.5 acres of 6 year old pine plantation that is well stocked and offers good long term growth potential. There is a +/-21.5 acre stand of 25-30 year old pine in the northeastern end of the property that is very heavily stocked with pine pulpwood and small pine sawtimber and offers immediate harvest opportunity. The remaining acreage includes patches of mixed pine and hardwood timber that also offer immediate harvest potential to the buyer. The topography of the tract is rolling with primarily Sacul fine sandy loam and Harleston very fine sandy loam soils and a reported average site index for Loblolly Pine of about 81 feet (Base age 50), per the NRCS Web Soil Survey. These soils offer wet weather logging capability and good soils for long term pine timber production.
