Some portions of the property outside the high-fence lie within flood plains of Sandy creek and Tehuacana Creek. WILDLIFE: There is a large herd within the holding pens of superior genetic whitetails. The plan is for these bucks to reach age 3.5 and then be released into the high-fenced area for hunting. If other areas of the ranch were high fenced, the herd could be selectively released into these areas to create self-sustaining huge whitetail to hunt and enjoy for years and years. Along with the huge whitetail, there are several species of exotics within the high-fence area including: Fallow deer, Scimitar Oryx, and Blackbuck. Wintering waterfowl will use water on the property inside and outside the high-fence areas. If the bottoms flood, it can hold thousands of ducks! The bottomland timber contains very nice whitetail deer, hogs, ducks, furbearers, and numerous other small game native to East Texas.
