If you prefer scenic views then Stone Mountain Park is better suited. The park is vast with various activities, lodging, and a cable car ride to visit a historic carved peak. In contrast if you prefer water sports, be sure to visit Lake Lanier where they offer boating, bass fishing, beaches, and all water sports under the sun.
