History: Born in 1826 in Lincoln County, Georgia, Hirem Dennis began farming on this piece of land in 1877. Hirem was the Precinct 4 Commissioner, and was very instrumental in the development of his piece of Grayson County. Hirem passed away in 1918 as is buried in a cemetery down the road from his farm. The Dennis family has been a foundation family in the area and has raised many generations in and around this property. The Dennis family still owns and lives on the land. This property represents 138 years of Texas farming and ranching tradition.
