Irrigated Mixed-Use Farm
We are pleased to offer this irrigated mixed-use farm on the corner of Highway 70 and FM 2284 east of Olton in Hale County.
Irrigation:
There are 333.5 irrigated acres covered by three pivots. Pivot #2 is a 2007 Zimmatic covering 124.7 acres, Pivot #3 is a 1999 Zimmatic covering 123.3 acres, and Pivot #4 is a 2008 Zimmatic covering 85.5 acres. There are eight submersible wells making a combined 400 gpm. All the wells and pivots are tied together. The Fieldnet systems are owned by the tenant. There is a livestock well in the NE corner of the property.
CRP, Dryland, and Grass:
There are six corners in CRP, expiring in 2026, and paying $2,064.00 per year. There is a small amount of dryland in the middle of the farm covering 51 acres. The remainder of the 63.2 acres are in native grass.

Soils:
The soils are very productive with Olton Loam being the predominant soil on 77.76% of the farm, followed by Pullman Clay Loam on 12.8% of the farm. The rest of the soil is mostly Randall Clay in the lake bottom.
Lease:
The farm is cash leased for the remainder of the 2023 crop year. The tenant would like to continue operating this farm if a buyer is interested in renting it out. Contact our office directly for more information about the Lease.
