This productive farm is located just off of the paved Highway 277, with County Road 278 running along its north border. It is only a few miles south of the town of Munday, and about fifteen miles north of Haskell.
The farm has approximately 280 acres of row crop cultivation, the north half of which is currently being used to grow cotton, and the south half, wheat. The soils are sandy and well drained, suitable for hay or grass as well. There are no fences in place, as it has been only used to grow crops in the past. Many of the surrounding tracts have pivot systems, signifying the potential for irrigation, but even as a dryland farm, the land can produce high yields.

In the northwest corner of the farm is Griffin Lake, an 80 acre basin used to trap rain runoff from the field terraces and road ditches throughout the surrounding sections, to help prevent erosion. This basin isn't very deep and won't hold water year around, but after the Fall rains, provides excellent waterfowl hunting in the winter. Other similar water basins in this area of the county, including the 120 acre Reid Lake on the farm's south border, coupled with a variety of farm crops, such as milo, wheat, and peanuts, help to draw in the ducks and geese as well.
The main channel of Griffin Lake is about 1/4 mile long. Shallow wetlands surround it, to provide 80 acres of marshy duck habitat. The farm has another 30 acres of marsh land on the south end, as part of the Reid Lake basin extends into the property. In addition to duck and goose hunting, there is dove hunting in the Fall and year around sport with feral hog eradication.
