It is a remarkably private property. You enter through a small subdivision road through a two-acre field that is part of the property. The field has an orchard, blue berries and large sycamore trees. The road turns down through the woods to the double A Frame cabin and the view overlooking the Tennessee River and the mountains of the Cumberland Plateau beyond. The land below the cabin belongs to TVA.
The breezes always blow in this unique place and the temperatures are cooler in summer than down below in Scottsboro. It has a new HVAC system but the air is so cool in summer you hate to turn the AC on.
The birds and songs in the spring are remarkable as they pass through on their way north. The shortened days of fall and winter mean fireplace weather and it is a great stone fireplace that will heat the large living space.

The area is unique in the proximity to easy boat launches on the Tennessee River as well as many National Parks and preserves to hike and explore. Chattanooga and Huntsville are each an hour away.
