“Are we there yet?” This will be the question that the family will be asking as you drive 20 miles through the country to this very remote retreat. After driving about 15 miles on public roads (most are paved), you go through a locked gate and travel another 5 miles over a private gravel road to the property. The property is located in a rural subdivision of land tracts of equal or larger size. This parcel is 100 feet wide, which is all river frontage on the beautiful Colorado River, and about 2200 feet deep. The access to the river is good and there are some other “common areas" for all property owners. The fishing is exceptional, especially during the “white bass run” in the springtime. A deep and very scenic ravine runs through much of the depth of the property where there are steep rock bluffs and big boulders that are shaded by large trees. There is an elevated area that overlooks the river and is a good location to build a cabin. There are already some piers in the ground that were put there for the foundation for a cabin. An electric meter and phone line are already on site. There is no water well, but many of the properties have water wells. Due to the rugged terrain and the cost, none of the properties in the subdivision are fenced. There are many cabins and some full-time residents, but most of the owners are only there on weekends and holidays.
