Services to Property: There currently are no services to this property. It would be possible to drill for a water well and install a septic system.
Access: The North property line fronts a US Forest Service Road (k-trail) that runs down the top of Kiamichi Mountain.
Land: The 58 acres lies on the South side of the Kiamichi Mountain Range. The terrain on this property is fairly steep with the South property line having an elevation of approximately 1900 feet and the North property line with an approximately elevation of 2250 feet. The property is completely covered with hardwood timber that is native to south-eastern Oklahoma including a diverse variety of oaks, red bud, hickory, sweet gum and a scattering of small native shortleaf yellow pine trees. There are several nice building spots for an off-grid cabin that would have a breath-taking view of the mountains and valleys to the South. There is a logging road that begins at the top of Kiamichi Mountain and crosses through the property, which could easily be improved to provide access to a cabin spot. This property is very unique in that it adjoins the Ouachita National Forest, which provides great hunting opportunities for whitetail deer, eastern wild turkey, black bear, wild hog and other small game as well as access to an impressive network of ATV, hiking and horseback riding trails that are operated and maintained by the US Forest Service.
Realtors Comments: The mountain views from this property are spectacular. In my opinion, this property can be classified as true Investment Grade Property. Note: There is an adjoining 160 acre parcel that is also priced at $750/acre with frontage to National Forest on 3 sides if you are wanting more acreage.
Price: $43,500 ($750/acre)
