The Mills Tract will be sold by sealed bids on July 26, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. The tract consists of +/-154 acres of 1988 pine plantation that has been thinned twice and nearing final harvest, +/-59 acres of native pine and hardwood, +/-11.5 acres of 1999 pine plantation that is nearing a first thinning, +/-8.5 acres of streamside zones, and +/-4 acres in the railroad right-of-way. The remaining acreage is in roads and the small pond located in the north central portion of the tract. Topography is flat and soil types are silt loams with site indices ranging from 76 to 90 feet on base age of 50 years. Access is excellent with approximately 2,500 feet of frontage on Little River County Road 60. Internal access is also excellent with a network of woods roads that access the majority of the tract.
