Water
With a name like Glensprings, water is a major component of this places appeal. At the center of it all, the bubbling spring feeds into a large man-made swimming area of crystal clarity. For anyone who loves to fish, there are two lakes filled with native fish species. Earth ponds are spread throughout the property to catch drain water from the undulating topography, trapping it for later use by the cattle and wildlife. Water is the most important natural resource in Texas.
Activities
Activities include a regulation skeet range, hunting and target-practice, indoor basketball and pickleball court, horseback riding, fishing in any of the larger ponds, swimming in the spring and a small aircraft runway.
Primary Residence: Headquarters
The main home is the center point of the entire property. Positioned on the hilltop to enjoy the surrounding landscape and changing seasons, it crowns the ranch in handcrafted stonework and authentic Montana timber. The large custom steel windows let the unfettered daylight, and at night all the wood walls and accents warm and glow in the reflection of warm fixtures. The home is 6,900 square feet with 4 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. Intermixed are a game room and attached barn structure containing a basketball and pickleball court. Just outside the doors, a rambling porch encircles the home and lands in an outdoor fireplace, TV and seating area that has come to be one of those family highlight places. The setting for many fine memories.
Guest House 1 & 2
Both beautiful, but sized according to their intent, the guest houses each have a 3-car carport. The larger guest home is 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom while the smaller is a 2 bedroom with 1 bathroom.
Foremans House
Built to spec for our once-in-a-lifetime foreman and his wife, this house is probably one of the most important places on the ranch. This basecamp is located away from the main house, but offers clear access via an extensively maintained road network to each corner of the ranch. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a 3-car carport and most importantly, a foreman currently residing in it!
Equipment and Barn
Every ranch of any substance has an excellent barn, this is no exception. Its 1800 square feet and filled to the brim with all the lightweight and heavy equipment needed to keep a ranch this beautiful, operating and aesthetically on-point. Parked here are a road grader, D6 and D4 CAT Dozers, and a tractor.
Working Pens, Water Sources and Food Plots
This ranch is equipped with three well-located working pens that allow for the introduction, removal, and separation of livestock. The food plots provide attractive food sources for the wildlife. 8 windmills turn to produce daily water sources in all the main sections of the ranch and the perimeter is designed with a high-fence (game-fence).
