The Pee Dee River North Tract, like the Pee Dee River South Tract, is surrounded by the Marsh Wildlife Management Area and Heritage Preserve (WMA/HP). Marsh WMA/HPA is an 8,660-acre well-managed wildlife habitat for multiple game and non-game species and is managed by South Carolina DNR.
The tract contains mature bottomland hardwood, but it is predominantly hardwood regeneration nearing age 20.
The property also includes a 20-acre beaver pond. Duck hunting enthusiasts will recognize this as a habitat for wood ducks.
