These irregular shaped tracts of properties are located approximately 7 miles southwest of Matagorda and 1.2 miles west of the mouth of the Colorado River. The tracts are located on Matagorda Peninsula and stretch from Gulf of Mexico Beach northwards to the Matagorda Bay. Access is only by boat or air. The properties are similar to the Peninsula East Tract. The land consists of mostly low lying salty marshland, sand dunes and beach.
These properties would have great appeal as a recreational property for salt water fishing, beach activities, bird watching and duck and goose hunting. Restrictions of wetlands and coastal barriers would exist and there are restrictions of crossing sand dunes by vehicle. This is a unique offering of gulf coast beach peninsula property that does not come on market very often.
