Application period is late January to early March. Fishing for Bullhead & Channel Catfish, Walleye, White Bass, Yellow Perch, Carp, & Bluegill is close by at Gunnison Bend Reservoir. Hiking trails are available throughout the vicinity, with many different mountains and interests satisfied. From fossil digging to rock collecting of Topaz, Obsidian, Opal, & Geodes.

Location:

Delta is the nearest city within a fifteen-minute drive. It was initially a railroad switch called Aiken, then Melville, then Burtner, and finally Delta on May 11, 1911. The area was a Delta for Lake Bonneville.

Topaz Relocation Camp used during World War II. The Topaz Museum in Delta provides information and history about the camps, & to fund preservation.

Great Basin Museum provide history & information about the area.

Gunnison Massacre Site is where John Williams Gunnison suffered ambushing.
