The Mountains region of North Carolina offers a vast assortment of activities for all seasons. In the winter, the Appalachian Ski Mountain in Watauga County is the perfect location for a family ski vacation. During hunting season, you can find black bears, white-tail deer, and wild turkeys in the area.
