In the spring of 1870, six years before Colorado earned its statehood, Joseph Rogers and his brother, products of Maine & Southeastern Canada, drove 300 head of cattle to the South Park range four miles West of the town of Howbart set up camp and founded their ranch which grew to over 12,000 acres.Today, at the foot of hulking Thirtynine Mile Mountain, which is the southern sentinel to the entirety of South Park, rests the ranch born from the early effort of those western pioneers.

Approximately two hours from Colorado's two most populous cities and their international airports, the ranch consists of approximately 1,250 acres. Approach from Colorado Springs. Total Drive time from Colorado Springs: approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes:

Take US-24 west to Florissant. From the US-24/County Road 46 intersection in Florissant, drive west on County Road 46 for 11.3 miles to Thirtyninemile Road (aka County Road 59) and turn right. Drive for 3.4 miles to Union Creek Road and turn left. Drive for 1.5 miles to the ranch gate on the right.

Approach from Denver. Total drive time from Denver: approximately 2 hours:

Take US HWY 285 South to Hartsel. Drive East 10.6 miles from Hartsel Colorado to San Juan Street (aka County Road 23) and turn right. Drive 2.8 miles to County Road 59 and turn left. Drive 2.4 miles to Thirtyninemile Road (aka County Road 59) and turn right. Drive 6.5 miles to Union Creek Road and turn sharp right. Drive for 1.5 miles to ranch gate on the right.
