Once on the Platte River, it is a pleasant float down to Guernsey Lake and Guernsey State Park. The town of Guernsey is only six miles from the ranch and provides all the modern conveniences of a small western town including banking, groceries, fuel, cafes, bars, and overnight accommodations.
Recreational opportunities abound, with hunting, hiking, or four wheeling on your own acreage or enjoying water sports and fishing on nearby Glendo Lake, and Gray Rocks Reservoir, or camping and boating at Guernsey State Park.
There are some lenient covenants for the protection of property values. There is no state income tax in Wyoming and Wyoming has favorable property taxes.
