Mill Creek Ranch has been managed utilizing Quality Deer Management Association guidelines for the past fifteen years. Flourishing clover food plots are present and promise excellent hunting prospects: whitetail deer and turkey are abundant, and coyote hunting is exceptional. There are also two spring fed creeks in addition to Mill Creek, teeming with creek fish and crayfish.

Allie Spring and Mill Creek Caves are cavernous regions, each gated and overseen by the Kansas City Area Grotto Cave Club. This organization facilitates survey team excursions into Allie Spring Cave. Nearly three miles of cave have been surveyed, with four leads into further potential caverns. The Cave Club is interested in further surveys and a continued working relationship with future land owners in an effort to identify connections to massive Grimzinsky Cave.

Fully mapped, Mill Creek is steeped in mystery and folklore. Legend has it that Jesse James was pursued by Pinkertons into the right branch of the cave and it was dynamited in an effort to trap him inside. Recent investigations have revealed many subterranean branches which hold possible explanations of a Jesse James escape from Mill Creek Cave. A prime camping site, Jesse James Base Camp, is present near the right branch junction. In addition to the infamous outlaws mark on this cavern, a prehistoric cave bear bed has been discovered fifty feet behind the camp. In fact, "Short Face Cave Bear" beds can be found throughout both caves. Bear beds are massive, and claw marks are apparent in both caves amidst the magnificent formations. Reminders of an age of Saber Tooth tigers, mammoths, and the Short Face Cave bear make Mill Creek cave a geographical wonder.
