Backwoods Old Homestead Near Mt Vernon

If you’re looking for a remote property to escape from civilization, this one is definitely a consideration. The old road leads into the property from the east and splits either in a gradual drop down into the bottom where you cross Elkhorn branch, or on out to the old home place.  Elkhorn Branch runs through the entire property from north to south. Some of this bottom ground can easily be reclaimed back to what was once most likely open pasture. There is another spring-fed creek that runs past the old home on the south side and empties into Elkhorn Branch. Plenty of wildlife sign was noticed while touring the property and several good stand locations were identified. The property is mostly young timber with some thick heavy bedding areas.
