Dunaway Hunting and Fishing Club is a member owned and governed property with 42 owners that have equal ownership in the 5,600 acres and all associated assets. The property is professionally managed by a on-sight wildlife biologist and staff that insures outdoor recreational opportunities that exceed regional expectations. The property has been under and quality deer management plan for nearly 20 years and boast a healthy population of whitetails. Turkey populations also flourish in this environment, and nationally recognized hunters have stated that Dunaway offers some of the south's finest turkey hunting opportunities. Upland game bird hunting is also available for members and their guest, giving bird hunters the option of hunting early release coveys that will make you think you are hunting in the hay day of quail, or opt for the fast and furious shooting of quality preserve style hunts. If fishing is more your speed, Dunaway's 95 acre private lake offers anglers trophy sized bass and bluegill, with consistent bass catches in the 6-10 pound range and bluegill that will fill a frying pan. A large spring feed pond offers additional fishing for bass and bluegill, and it is stocked with rainbow trout in the winter months to insure year around fishing opportunities.

Dunaway is managed for either the do-it-yourself hunter or a hunter that prefers a bit more of a turn key approach. The property has nearly 180 acres of wildlife food plots that are managed in both annual and perennial crops, approximately 40 shooting houses and numerous ladder stands. So members are welcome to take advantage of the club provided stands, or they can hang personally owned stands, blinds or climbers to hunt an area that they have found and want to hunt. Guides for both hunting and fishing can also be provided to the membership if desired. We also provide educational courses to youth hunters and those new to hunting under antler restrictions.

In addition to the hunting and fishing, Dunaway offers an all weather shooting range, archery range and 5 stand porting clays. Outside of the hunting season, members enjoy ATV riding, hiking and mountain bike riding on over 60 miles of trails. The lake also offers swim platforms for the kids, fantastic kayaking and canoeing or a place to enjoy the paddle board. The lake does not allow gas engines in it, so the water is crystal clean and you never have the worries of boating traffic or noise to worry with.
