Major agricultural products are tobacco, poultry, cattle, dairy products, soybeans, hay, rice, and swine. The state also produces textile goods, chemical products, paper products, machinery, automobiles, and automobile products. With its mild climate and large number of beaches and other natural and historic sites, tourism is also a large part of the economy in South Carolina.
