Topography
The topography of the Quail Canyon Ranch is level to gently rolling with some broken country on the northwest end of the ranch. There is an excellent turf of native grass on the ranch that includes Buffalo Grass, Hairy Grama, Texas Winter Grass, Arizona Cottontop, Little Bluestem, Indian Grass, Side Oats Grama, Vine-mesquite Grass, Tubosa, and Three-awn, to name a few. Brush on the ranch ranges from a heavy covering of Mesquite and Red Berry Juniper on the south end of the ranch to a lighter scattering of brush on the north end. Elevations range from 1,910 ft. on the south end to 1,850 ft. on the north end.

Water on the ranch is provided by one electric submersible water well with water being piped to two water troughs. There is also a small dirt tank that holds water during the wetter periods of the year.
Hunting, Wildife, and Recreation
Hunting on the Quail Canyon Ranch is considered to be outstanding with game species that include dove, quail, wild hogs, turkey, and White Tail Deer. The current owner had Dr. Dale Rollins come out and evaluate the ranch and put together a quail management plan that the owner has been implementing.
Improvements
Improvements on the ranch consist of an older metal barn and one water well. The fences on the ranch range from decent to non-existent. There is electricity on the ranch.
