With frontage along HWY 195, Spring Creek is conveniently located, is in close proximity to notable towns like Cordele and Albany and is less than three hours from Atlanta.Having known the prior owner and having managed and hunted on properties in close proximity to Spring Creek, this area produces some of the finest Whitetails in the southeast.  The prior owner managed this property intensely for over a decade, mainly bow hunting, and had harvested some outstanding deer.  The current owner, who absolutely loves raising and hunting mature Whitetails, decided to high fence the property to be able to grow bucks to the age structure with the goal of producing Boone and Crockett south Georgia bucks. The deer herd on Spring Creek now has the age structure to year after year consistently produce some of the highest quality bucks you will see in the southeast.  No expense has been spared...from an exceptional Tecomate food plot program to a year-round protein feeding program, along with natural habitat, beautiful hardwood bottoms, and native understory browse in the pine timber stands.  The diversity found at Spring Creek is truly exceptional.  The mature hardwood creek bottoms with massive white oaks and water oaks would just make you pray for cold weather to be able to sit in a deer stand during hunting season. - Walter HatchettThe lake is in great shape. The ramp is in great shape and makes launching a boat very easy. > There's good structure distributed around the lake to provide cover for the bluegill. The natural alkalinity and hardness of the pond is high, which helps to support high productivity without the need for expensive additions of agricultural lime. We found good numbers of intermediate bluegill, which indicates that bass numbers are at a healthy level. This balance shows in the condition of the bass. The average relative weight of the bass we surveyed was 96%, which is extremely good, especially considering the timing of the survey was shortly after spawning. Had we surveyed prior to spawning, most or all of the bass would likely have been above 100%, which is exceptional. Threadfin shad were stocked spring 2021, which will provide additional forage for the bass. This lake is in a great position to continue to progress and should provide excellent fishing in the future. - Wiregrass Ecological Associates (lake management)As a previous owner of Spring Creek for almost 15 years, it has been exciting watching the progression of the wildlife and land management.  Our four-and-a-half year old deer put on 40 lbs, and we grew 160 BC deer.  The Harris family has taken the management to the next level producing several 170-plus deer.  If I were only a younger man, I would take ownership of the place again.
