This neat old and rustic cabin is located in the Hartland Christian Camp area in the Sequoia National Forest. Hartland is a beautiful and pine covered little valley at the 4,500 elevation. This is a great chance to get a vacation cabin in a quaint forested area of Sequoia National Forest at 1950's prices.
The Hartland Cabin Subdivision was created in the late 1930's. It consists of about 125 lots of 6,000 to 12,000 sqft. The Hartland Christian Association purchased adjacent land in the late 1940's and established their Christian Retreat Center. Today the private and Christian camp areas are somewhat intermixed to the benefit of both, principally the development of a private water system that serves the camp and many of the private cabins. This cabin is on the water system. It is a beautiful area with huge pines and cedars.

The cabin is located on a corner lot at the edge of the subdivision next to the creek. There are adjacent cabins on 2 sides but the balance is open forested area...a gorgeous and fairly private setting. The cabin is 2 stories but only the bottom floor has been finished. This is a rustic cabin that will take you back to times gone past...note the wood burning cookstove in the kitchen. It is a very comfortable cabin but it ain't fancy. You will have plenty of projects to do over the years but you will also have something very rare...a cabin of your own in a fantastic area, something you can pass on to future generations.
The seller is offering the property strictly in its present condition. It is very liveable but it does need work here and there. He is willing to consider carrying paper for a qualified buyer with a good downpayment.
Ask yourself this...where else could you ever expect to find a vacation cabin in a popular national forest in California for less than $100,000?
