Dry Cimarron River Ranch
This 1571.15 acre ranch will offer great hunting and recreation potential with approximately three quarters of a mile of frontage on both sides of the Dry Cimarron River having cottonwood and tamarack trees along the river along with other native vegetation for wildlife habitat and winter protection for both wildlife and livestock.

The main body of the ranch is located north of Highway 456.
Part of the water provided to the ranch is by a domestic well located at the headquarters which was burned out a number of years ago leaving only a small barn/shop.
The well at the headquarters is currently in use with a submersible electric motor and pump powered by a portable generator which belongs to the Lessee of the ranch.
Electrical service to the well and to the headquarters was burned out in the fire.
There are two other wells on the main body of the ranch equipped with windmills together with another well equipped with a windmill located on the south side of Highway 456.
Water for livestock and wildlife is also provided by spring-feed pools in the river.
There are water rights out of the river which have not been utilized for a long number of years and which will go with the purchase of the ranch.
According to the Farm Service Agency in Union County, New Mexico there was 167.38 acres in cropland in the past. This cropland was irrigated from a ditch coming from a damn further up river which has long since broken and is on further use as well as the ditch itself. The aerial photograph from the Farm Service Agency is attached to this information package indicating the location of the cropland on the property. According to the Farm Service Agency and due to the fact that the 167.38 acres has not been farmed in the last 20 years, the cropland is not eligible for the current farm programs however this can be ascertained by a prospective purchaser with the Farm Service Agency and perhaps this cropland will make excellent food plots for wildlife.
