WAYNESBORO, TENNESSEE, the seat of Wayne County, located in an enchanting region of south central Tennessee, bordering the Alabama line. A favored hunting ground in its earlier days, Wayne County is the second largest county in land area and with the least population per square mile in Tennessee. With 474,240 acres, it is a land of hills, fields, lotsa forests and clear cool streams. Three rivers, the Tennessee, Buffalo and Green, flow through the County as well as the famed Natchez Trace Parkway. Agriculture, lumber and forest products are major factors in the economy.
