Once you enter the Cinco Arriba you will realize why it has it all. It has long and wide senderos that have been well maintained and can easily be planted with oats. There are several hunting locations that are set up like a chicken’s foot with multiple shooting and hunting lanes. The ranch has a gentle rolling terrain with one high point where the headquarters has been established. The elevations range from 490’ to 525’ with panoramic views from the front porch of the headquarters. Venado Creek meanders throughout the south end of the ranch and its tributaries cross throughout the middle of the ranch. There are a number of great locations to build additional large reservoirs along the drainages.

Down in this area of Texas water is like gold and this ranch is well watered. The ranch has one windmill and a well with a submersible pump and pressure tank that feeds the headquarters. The well is estimated to pump between 20 and 30 gallons per minute. The well and headquarters are located on the highest point of the ranch and the water could easily be gravity fed throughout the ranch if needed. The ranch also offers a great 3± acre fishing lake and 3 other smaller stock tanks that are strategically placed throughout the ranch.
The headquarters is located on top of the highest hill overlooking the entire ranch with views stretching for miles. The living quarters includes a 4 bedroom / 2 bath double-wide mobile home. The double-wide is connected via 6,000± square feet of partially covered deck to a 2 bedroom / 2 bath single-wide mobile home. The dimensions on the covered portion of the rear deck are 40x60 with a 15x80 covered portion on the front deck. There is a built in brick BBQ pit just off of the deck in the rear of the house and is set up perfectly for entertaining. ON the south side of the house not far from the BBQ pit is a fire pit that looks out over the property. There is also a sprinkler system to keep the grass green around the house and 2 outdoor showers. There is a lighted bird cleaning station with hot/cold water and a stainless steel table on a concrete slab. Just down the hill from the homes is a 40x60 enclosed and insulated metal shop with 4 roll doors, 2 bays and concrete floor. There is a covered porch with a concrete slab that extends around the enclosed portion of the metal building on the south, east and north side. On the north end of the building is a game cleaning station with a walk-in game cooler, rail track system to move the game into the cooler, electric winch for raising the game, large deep stainless steel sink and a table with hot and cold water.
The ranch borders the Callaghan Ranch, one of the most famous hunting ranches in all of South Texas. This area is well known and documented for growing some of the largest whitetail deer in the state. The ranch has been under an intense management plan with does and management bucks being the primary harvest. Due to the owners’ careful management of the property, they have been able to harvest some great trophies. The owners have harvested deer on the ranch from the 160’s to the mid 180’s B&C. The stock tanks on the property offer some great dove and duck hunting as well. There are also some bobwhite quail and blue quail, feral hogs and some javalina.
Ranch is located 27 miles north of Laredo and approximately 1.5 hours south of San Antonio. To get the ranch from San Antonio, travel south on IH 35, take the Callaghan Ranch Interchange, go left under IH 35, pass the main gates to the Callaghan and turn left on the first county road, Beccera road (aka Callaghan road), and continue 7.4 miles.
