This property is located in White County, Arkansas near the city of Bebee. The majority of this 975 +/- acre hunting property was enrolled in the WRP program about 12 years. Throughout the years the owners have extensively managed this property for Deer, Ducks, Turkey, and now Quail. The deer management has been very intensive in terms of deer maturity at harvest. The owners stick to a 4.5 year old and up rule with exception to cull bucks. The minimum trophy requirement is 150 inches or better. This management plan has been very successful as several 160-170 class deer have been taken off this property\. They also have developed 10 food plots for deer and turkey hunting. They plant harvest plots every year which take up about 40 acres scattered throughout the property. Additional areas could be planted along all the levees if that was desired\. Every moist soil unit is connected through a surface canal and underground gate system that once full, will overflow to each moist soil unit. These areas may be planted in crops but can only be left for the wildlife and not harvested. The owners don?t start duck hunting till late December and still harvest over 500 birds on average\. Some species include: Swamp Chestnut Oak, Willow Leaf Oak, Nutt All Oak, Shumard Oak, Pin Oak, and Bald Cypress. This young stand mixed with native grasses has increased the Turkey and Quail populations greatly as in years past these birds were hardly ever observed on the property and now they are seen on a regular basis. Lastly, this property adjoins Cypress Creek Wildlife Management area which is walk in only and has very limited access. This property has great public land access into the WMA from the South East Side of the property.
