The Hammond Tract is a timberland property
located on Marylands Eastern Shore. The
property is primarily pine plantation abutting
a mixture of agricultural and forest lands with
some suburban residential development. The
tract is located east of State Highway 13 just
south of the Delaware border less than 10
miles northeast of Salisbury. Recreational
opportunities exist both on and off the property.
Leonards Mill Pond trophy bass management
area is located just 4 miles to the west. There is
an existing hunt lease on the property that may
be terminated or extended at buyers discretion.
Property taxes for 2012 were $134. Several
urban centers are within a 2-3 hour drive of the
property: Philadelphia (136 miles); Washington
DC (124 miles) and Baltimore (113 miles).
Zoning is A1 agricultural-rural district.
