San Francisco Bay Area Region, CA Farms and Ranches for Sale

The San Francisco Bay Area of California is the most populated area in northern California. The area is filled with attractions, landmarks, coastal mountain ranges and beautiful coast lines. Marin County is the northern area of this region and the county forms a large, southward-facing peninsula, with the Pacific Ocean to the west, San Pablo Bay, and San Francisco Bay to the east, and ? across the Golden Gate ? the city of San Francisco to the south. Marin County's northern border is with Sonoma County.

The East Bay includes the counties of Contra Costa County, Alameda County and Santa Clara County. Oakland California is the largest city in the East Bay. Most of the land is developed particularly on the eastern fringe of Contra Costa County and the Tri-Valley area (Amador Valley, Livermore Valley and San Ramon Valley).

San Mateo County and Santa Cruz County are the two of the smallest counties in the state of California. Most of the area is heavily developed but both counties offer beautiful coastlines that are flanked by cliffs. Santa Cruz County also has a thriving agricultural area concentrated in the cities of Watsonville and Corralitos.
