Known for incredible fishing, Red Lake is among the largest in the remarkable Indian River Chain of Lakes in Northwestern New Yorks St. Lawrence Valley. Red Lakes 366 surface acres are arranged in a roughly linear shape while its mean depth is 27 feet, the narrow middle plunges to 45 feet down; drop-offs north and south of this central hole are steep, while the southwestern snout and twin northeastern lobes of the lake descend gently.
Red Lake has a diverse roster of freshwater game fish: both smallmouth and largemouth bass, walleye, Northern pike, yellow perch, black crappie, brown bullhead and bluegill. Some of the fish can be quite large: pike may breach 20 pounds, and both species of bass grow hefty here. Fishers may land foot-long crappie and perch. As anywhere, fish segregate themselves based on age and ecological preference among the available range of habitats, from the open-water depths to the marshy or rocky margins.
All 25 acres are yours, or sub dividable, for $64,800!
